Golden Corral will offer free buffet meals to active-duty military and veterans between 5 and 9 p.m.

WEDNESDAY the 11th
Outback Steakhouse will offer a free bloomin' onion and a drink for vets and active-duty military members.  Applebee's offers a free entree from 11 a.m. 'til midnight.
Krispy Kreme will be giving away free donuts to vets and current military all day.
Home Depot and Lowe's will will offer 10-percent discounts to current military and veterans. Home Depot started the program on Nov. 5 and will run it through Veterans Day, while Lowe's discounts will be in effect from Nov. 8 through Nov. 15.

Sam's Club will offer Free [Walking] Canes for Veterans Nationwide. On Veterans Day, November 11, 2009, Sam’s Club® locations nationwide will be giving away 25,000 Hugo® canes free of charge to United States Military Veterans in need of mobility assistance.
Federal Parks Fees Waived on Nov 11 [wenatcheeworld.com] (Portland, OR) Federal lands that require a parking pass or fee to visit will be free on Nov. 11 in celebration of Veterans Day, according to a U.S. Forest Service news release. Day-use fees, including picnic areas, boat launches, trailheads and visitor centers will be free to all to honor U.S. veterans, members of the armed forces and their families. Fees will still be charged for uses such as camping, cabin rentals and concession operations, the release stated.
